I put this picture because one day I was online, and I found it. It reminds me of how often we forget to live in the moment and enjoy what we have going on now. We have a tendency to run ahead of ourselves. We need to be proud of what they do today not what they may do in the future.

Week 4
I want to first start my post off by saying hello to everyone. This has been a long week for me,
and I can not wait till our holiday vacation starts. This week I looked over the many choices that we
had on the list. I can say that I have been very blessed to have the childhood that I have. My parents
have worked really hard so that me, and my siblings had everything that we needed as well as things
that we did not need. We have also been very fortunate to be well supervised by our parents which
kept us safe.
My post is about my mother, and her childhood. My mother was not as fortunate to
have a childhood like she help provide us. My grandparents were poor farmers who had seven
children. They lived in a small home, and practically lived off the land. My mother said that her
childhood made her sad lacking some of basic needs at times.
I stayed home and researched stats in the US. More than 16.1 million children in America are poor, but they live in working families. Most of the impoverished families are Black and Latino. Children of impoverished homes lag behind their peers in many ways other than just their family income: They are less healthy because of malnutrition. They are often emotionally and intellectually damaged. Poor children also are likely to become the poor parents of the future due to stats. It is really to see that one of the richest countries has citizens that are poor, and working.

SIDS
SIDS is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. I picked this topic because it is very dear to me because I lost a family member to this. It is was very hurtful to see my cousin go thru this situation. They went thru a constant battle of blaming each, and themselves. SIDS can happen to any child of any race. Also during this time you will get questioned by the authorities which is very difficult to deal with during a time of loss. It hurt me so much to see my cousin cry about a child that she dreamed about most of her life.
I looked at many different resources it said that sids happens all over the world. The WHO- world health organization stores the information. It also notes that SIDS can be controlled by the way your infant is laid to rest.

Hello Everyone,
I do not have any children of my own so this is my friends story. She has two children. her first child was a natural vaginal delivery that lasted 4 hours start to finish. She went in at 930 am leaking fluid and her daughter Kiahanna was born at 135 8 lbs even 1 day before her due date. Her 5 year old's delivery was so much different she was induced on a Friday she was 38 weeks at the time she did not deliver till Sunday. Her son Karon was 9 lbs 2oz.

In a country in Angagen a small village in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. These women give birth in their mother's houses. They have water which will later be used to clean the mother and child off. They have a bamboo knife which they will use to cut their own cord. They also deliver their own babies.

Personal childhood web
My Personal Childhood Web
5 people that contributed most to my personal development.......
1. My mother- She influenced me because she was the driving force behind me being the strong woman that I am... She taught me how to wait on no one and to work for anything that I desire. She always taught me the importance of being a good partner. She always complimented my father and supported his decisions when it came to the family.
2. My father- I was influenced by him because he showed me how to love. He also taught me about sacrifice. My father always loved me. He also showed me and my siblings the world . He made sure we had what we wanted, and needed before he got anything for himself
3. My maternal grandmother- She showed me life when I went to visit her she taught me the meaning of family. She did have material things but she showed how loving your family meant so much more.
4. My paternal grandmother- She was a school teacher. She is where I got my passion for learning, and helping others learn. She taught school for thirty years. She is my inspiration
5. My big sister- She is my inspiration because she showed me how to be a hard worker at a young age. She finished college while pregnant with my nephew. Then she has worked a fulltime job with two children and getting her masters.
I understand how great it is to have a great family system. I know how good Mahaley feels when family said good things about you.

I wanted to talk about a young lady that has a child with Cri Du Chat syndrome. I have been researching it as well following her blogs and you tube posts. Many of the parents that have children with the symdrome are told that they cannot do many of the age appropriate things that a child can do. This particular girl has learned to walk and saying her first words at age four. may go be the glory. Doctors learn what the text books teach them but we can never say what a child is not capable of.
A book title
One of my old time children stories is the giving tree. I wanted to pick that book because it teaches so many lessons. It teaches love, it talks about sharing. The tree loved the boy so much that it gave till it had nothing left. It also show how selfish we can be as humans sometimes. We some times know how to take and take from a person and never appreciate it.
